Indigenous Guardianship
As it has been since time immemorial, Indigenous guardians are the dedicated human stewards who honor the cultural responsibility of taking care of the Earth’s vital ecosystems.
From protecting plants and wildlife to safeguarding soil and water, they work across generations and political divides, constantly innovating and adapting to ensure long-term sustainability.
Indigenous guardianship represents a return to ways of being and knowing that lie in balance with our surroundings, and that honor the reciprocity we all share with each other and all beings. This short film was created to uplift and honor the contributions of the hundreds of millions of Indigenous People worldwide. Thank you to the Indigenous artists, partners, and communities who contributed to this work.
